◆What Causes Severe Morning Sickness?
Pregnancy nausea is probably caused by the sudden increase of hormones in your body. It's usually mild and goes away about midway through your pregnancy.Although the exact cause of morning sickness is unknown, it is associated with hormonal changes that occur during pregnancy.A hormone called human chorionic gonadotropin, or HCG, might be to blame because severe morning sickness most often happens when HCG levels are at their highest in a pregnant woman's body.Severe morning sickness also might run in families. It’s more common in women whose close family members (such as mothers and sisters) have had it.An imbalance of dietary potassium and magnesium, low blood sugar and low levels of vitamin B6 (pyridoxine) are all known causes of nausea.
Other things that can increase a woman's chances of having severe morning sickness include:
A.carrying multiples (twins, triplets, etc.)
B.history of motion sickness
C.migraine headaches with nausea or vomiting
